Aims & objectives of RRIGS

Reporting Radiographers Interest Group Scotland (RRIGS) was established in 2011 by an enthusiastic team of reporting radiographers in Scotland seeking to develop standards of best practice in the provision of plain film reporting.

The group's aim is to provide advice and support to those radiographers already working in diagnostic image reporting or those interested in becoming involved

The network provides a forum for such healthcare professionals to meet and exchange ideas, information, interesting cases and best practice.

Membership of the Reporting Radiographer Interest Group Scotland is currently confined to HCPC registered radiographers who hold, or are working towards, a postgraduate qualification in diagnostic image reporting.

Membership to the Reporting Radiographer Interest Group Scotland is free of charge. The group is self-funded and operates on a not-for-profit basis.

Meetings and events

The group meets twice a year with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) occurring in May.

RRIGS host a biannual study day and other online educational events throughout the year.
